Comments: My son Ben passed4/3/10 from an overdose of H. i first hear of this group at the Compassionate Friends Nation Conferee. If I had only know of the breathing sign. I questioned his girlfriend that morning twice about his odd snoring. She told me this was normal. I was concernded. She left. I left a few hours later, when I came home, I found my son on the sofa. He was gone. If I had this sign, he would not have died that day! My world has been destroyed! I miss my son. Now to find this infromation....OMG

Comments: I lost my brother nearly 20 years ago. So sad that things haven't changed much. Some how the message needs to be heard. Let your kids know that they can always call no matter what the circumstance. Nothing is worse than dying.

Comments: My nephew passedd away May 2, 2010. The family that he stayed with the night before had distributed a controlled substance to him. The next morning they said they were up at 6:00 a.m., but the call to 911 was not made until 9:24a.m. They stated they "worked" on him for 2 hours, but when the EMT's arrived there was no evidence that CPR had been administered. They gave false information to the Sheriff on the scene and to the EMT's. We have this documented in the Hospital, Sheriff and EMT reports. The family kept his wallet, jeans, money, and a leather bracelet he always wore. This family has never contacted his mother. My nephew would've helped anyone in need.

Comments: My son, Casey Rhett Arnold, died September 27, 2007, because his "friends" did not call 911 when he overdosed. This is the first I have heard of this site. I would like to post his picture if that is possible. Please let me know.

Comments: My 19 year old son was killed Feb 25, 2004 by a "friend" playing a practical joke. They had smoked some pot and drank some beer. The friend ran over him, left the car sitting on his chest. After calling others on my son's cell phone he finally called 911. He never called out for help, this was in an apartment building with the managers office just 10 feet away! He never got my son's burly roomate to help lift the car(Honda) off. My son died because he could not breath. He had no broken bones or any serious internal injuries. He would have lived had he just lifted the car off! He served 8 months in jail. Our family has suffered every day since and I imagine we will till we meet again in heaven. RIP Matt

Comments: As I shopped in Walmart one evening, a young, pleasant-looking woman appeared handing me a card on which was the likeness of a pleasant-looking male, whom she described as her brother, recently deceased brother of an over-dose. Needless to say; I was taken aback, since recovering fron a recent 65mph head-on collision with 160,000 lbs of tractor-trailer And RE-dying three MORE times I 'suddenly appreciate life'. Until a few minutes ago, I forgot that card, but 'almost feverishly' fished for it in my wallet. It was there; I'm here. Dustin; I wish we'd met so I might have helped avoid losing you. If there's God, may we be introduced somewhere, someday.
