Comments: It makes me mad to know there are so many friends letting their frinds die. I work as an EMT in Medford and I run our company's Explorer post. It's a group of kids 14-20 that want to learn about being an EMT and helpping others. One of our kids herd about this and we are making a strong effort to spread the word. We have the t-shirts that we are wearing and the braclets. I have seen some very close calls, kids not wanting to call in fear of them getting in trouble, but on a possitive note all the overdoses I have been on someone has called. Keep the good word going hold your head up high this will catch on and more people will live another day.

Comments: I never knew so many other people are in the same situation I'm in.The stepmonster overdose my Dad 6/23/2009 I still trying to find a attorney to help me prove this. The toxicology report showed my Dad had a lethal dose of oxycotin in his system. The medication was prescribed to help him instead she used this to end his life and to take what he worked for. This man was always their for me he was my best friend,he's been my hero all my life. The day he died a big part of me went too...I can no longer live...I exsist and try to appear ok to everyone else all the while this is killing me inside.I can't understand this is as much murder as a shooting or stabbing, the only difference is the wepon she choosed was perscribed.Alabama needs to step up and do the right thing.where is the justice?

Comments: Dear Michael, It makes me so sad to know how and what happened to you. Baby Mikey is the one also that is suffering for this. I pray to God that they will get jail time for this. I wish to God that I could do something about it. Hopefully the state of Mass. will pass a vote and get people off the street when someone is lying on the floor and they just stand there and do just about NOTHINGto help someone that needs it. If only you knew how much we love you and miss you so much. You are in our prayers always. Sweet Dreams Mike. NANA & GRAMPS S. 143 XOXOXOXOXOXOXOXO

Comments: I am a reporter for a newspaper in a small town in Iowa. I wanted to say wonderful it is that there is a site like this in place, and how wonderfully brave it is for the parents of these young people to share with others their stories in an effort to prevent more deaths.I have known of/written about young people whose lives could have been saved if only their friends would have truly cared enough to speak up. Looking at all the young faces on this website, full of so much promise, it is frightening (as a first-time mom with a 2-year-old) to think how many scary situations kids can find themselves in, and just as frightening to think how easy it could be for their friends to help them. Bless all of you who have lost so much, yet are working so hard to spare other parents the same tragedy.
Comments: DEAR MICHAEL, WE MISS YOU SO VERY MUCH. OUR HEARTS ARE BROKEN AND TORN AND LIFE WILL NEVER BE THE SAME WITHOUT YOU HERE. MOM, DAD, AND J.J. LOVES YOU SO VERY MUCH AND UNCONDITIONALLY. IT SEEMS LIKE YESTERDAY WHEN YOU WAS ONLY A BABY. GOD KNOWS THE TRUTH IN WHAT HAPPENED TO YOU AND SOMEDAY THE TRUTH WILL COME OUT, THAT WE WILL PROMISE TO YOU. YOU DO DESERVE THAT. MICHAEL, I WISH THERE WAS A WAY THAT I COULD DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT, BUT ALL I CAN DO IS PRAY FOR YOU. I PRAY THAT YOU ARE SAFE IN HEAVEN WITH GOD AND THE ANGELS ABOVE. WE LOVE YOU MICHAEL AND I WILL SEE YOU LATER. ALL MY LOVE FOREVER, NANA & GRAMPS SHAUGHNESSY. XOXOXOXOXO
