I use myspace as a great place to influence young people. They seem to spend a lot of time on there and as a mother, it worries me. I talk to kids on myspace a lot about their problems, grades, school, and anything they want to talk about. It's amazing how many kids don't have an adult to talk to about their problems. It is a great way to counsil young people and I pray that each and every one of you on this site will create a myspace and make friends with at least 30 teenagers and try to help them make the right choices in life. Thank you for creating this site. My 21 yr old son, Ephraim David Schultz died May 12, 2005 from an overdose of opaites and methadone. This was a death that could have been prevented had his "friends" intervened. Our lives have never been the same since my sons death and I will never be the same.

Thank you for this site...We lost our son on 8/28/07 at the age of 28 to an overdose from a FENTANYL patch that they are selling on the streets,some-
times giving them to try...my son's death has changed our lives for ever.It
will never be the same for his family or

This is an amazing site and one that I hope will benefit this cause. My girlfriend was the best friend of Kyla May Helvey, who passed away on September 11th, 2007. I know that the Helvey family would love to know that there is a site dedicated to the memory of not only such a beautiful young woman like Danielle, but the knowlege and warning of how crazy and tragic drugs are and how hard it is to know who your true friends are. I know that Kyla's true friends were not there with her that night. She begged us to go...and Erika and I have been left to live with what could have been had we been there next to her. I would have carried her out the same door she came in. Erika, an RN, could have been the difference or the one to make the call that would have saved Kyla's life. The warning has been made clear. Watch over yourself and those you love. Watch out for your friends. It only takes one time. Both Kyla and Danielle lost their life from something they had only tried once. We need to watch out for one another. Thank you for having such a wonderful site. This is truly amazing!

Im so glad that someone takes the time to remember the children that have been killed from stupid mistakes. I hope that everyone visits this site and realizes that it is not a game.

Sad to say,but this site is truly needed for alot of people. I lost the father of my children to heroin almost 2 years ago,at the age of 25,and I've come to know alot of people who are no longer here due to drugs. As a recovering addict I don't feel there are enough warnings out there about drugs, and how they affect not only the people using, but everyone who loves them as well. It's nice to see them people trying to spread the message cause i know nothing can replace their loved one who is no longer here, but if it saves one life, its worth it!!!

I knew Danielle, We met through Tia and I introduced them to Jeremy Cowan whom became best friends with Danielle.... its sucks she is gone... its just unreal and unfair

As a grieving mother, my heart bleeds for the loss of each and every child/young adult killed in such sinceless & preventable manner. I know 1st-hand the sufferings, deep irrepairable heartache, emptiness and extreme saddness family & friends endure. My son Ryan, was killed in an auto accident by a 'friend' who drove intoxicated and dopped up on Zanaxes Jan.13,2008. Were it not for the multitude of prayers & support, my family & I would not be able to withstand the pain. A friend recently comforted me by saying...Ryan isn't really gone, for his Spirit lives forever with our Eternal Heavenly-Father and that it's never good-bye, it's just "Goodnight" until we see him again. He's just made a transistion from one life to the next, as have the others that's gone on from this world. The Bible reads in John 3:16 For GOD so LOVED the world, he gave His only Son, that who-so-ever believes in Him will not perish, but have everlasting life!!!
We will be reunited with our love-ones again at the appointed time. I pray these words bring each family here great comfort and blessed assurance of the promise we have in Christ Jesus. Further more I pray this web site enlightens others to the reality that alcohol & drugs (prescription or street drugs)are the true killers! ABSTAIN from them!!!

i came across danielle on the internet, and i read up on the news reports and the trials of the individuals involved. i just only hope that god has mercy on their souls. danielle's parents are ABSOLUTELY RIGHT. friends DONT let friends die. My heart breaks whenever I think of Danielle, and i never met her. But if we had, i bet we would've been friends. I can not imagine letting my friend die. Even an enemy. How do you do that? How can you live with yourself? Danielle was 16. She was supposed to grow up, hang out with friends, graduate with her friends, go to college..get married & have children. And all because of some "fairweather friends" all of this has been taken away from Danielle and her parents. It sickens me. My heart is with you & I'm praying for your family & friends. A friend of mine Megan Massey died tragically in a car accident on October 4th, 2004 at age 16. It always sucks to lose a friend, and I find comfort in knowing that Megan & I will meet again. We'll all meet with Danielle again. She's everyone's angel, and I'm sure everyone she knew was blessed to have known her and had a friendship. She's always in my thoughts, and I just wanted to leave a comment. :)

I didn't know Danielle at all through school being in the same grade and all Rogers was pretty big. One thing I do remember though was Homecoming of 06-07 my date was Ryker and we had plans with his friend one of her older brothers. I remember coming into the house and not supposed to be there in the first place.lol. but this girl walks out of a room on the phone, hair up, t-shirt and shorts sits on the couch and it never once occurred to me of who she was but a sister. When i heard the news New Years day through a text somehow it all clicked of last names and that one night. We never really met, but i can say that i know now who she was and i think that in this tradgey its better than to have never known who she was. Now that graduation has gone by, She has never been forgotten!

I am a friend of Danielle's sister, Desiree. I have met her wonderful, brave mom a few times. My heart goes out to this great tight knit family.Even though I never had the pleasure of meeting Danielle, her life and death will have an impact on my family and I for the rest of our lives. I have a son who's just a few months older than Danielle would have been, and he thinks I was overprotective then, I'm even worse now.Thank you Lisa, Pat and the rest of the McCarthy family for sharing with us and if there's ever anything my family and I could do, please don't hesitate to call anytime.
